self-guided tours.
Picnics, blankets, and lawn chairs are welcome, and snacks will be available

9:20 pm - WINGS the silent picture to be shown with organ accompaniment!

The Paramount Theatre
March 31, 2003

$0.75 All Seats

Go to website http://www.theparamount.com for more info and to order tickets online! Click on the calender section for March.

"Wings" stars the glamorous silent film actress Clara Bow (the "It" Girl) and Charles "Buddy" Rogers. Got your trivia hat on? "Wings" was the first Academy Award winner for "Best Picture"-that was back in 1927. The movie has some of the most innovative pre-talkie special effects in movie making and also won the 1927 Academy Award for "Best Engineering" (Special Effects.) Known for the amazing air footage of flight sequences, it is a movie-going experience that is best viewed from a historic theater seat. It is an original action adventure film about two World War I pilots in love with the same woman.

"Wings" will be accompanied by house organist Dennis James on The Paramount's Mighty Wurlitzer.

See ya at the Paramount!!!!

6:20 pm - Another newbie

Hi members! I'm new, just showed up. I love the classic ladies of the past. They were sexier, sassier, and far more glamorous than any of the actresses of today!

I'm so glad there's an LJ community to recognize that.

*My favorite classic actresses*

Marilyn Monroe
Jean Harlow
Audrey Hepburn
Jayne Mansfeild
Rita Hayworth
Jane Russell
Betty Grable
Mamie Van Doren
Vivien Leigh
Maureen O'Hara
Katherine Hepburn
